Children Act Applications
Applications under the Children Act may include:
- A Contact order: This is an order setting out who the child lives with and whether they should be permitted to stay with or visit a particular person, including (but not necessarily) the child’s parent.
- A Prohibited Steps order: This is an order prohibiting someone with parental responsibility from doing certain things without the permission of the Court (for instance prohibiting a parent from taking a child out of the country for vacation or other purposes).
- A Residence order: This order sets out the arrangements to be made as to the person with whom a child is to live;
- A Specific Issue order: This is an order giving directions for the purpose of determining a specific question which has arisen, or which may arise, in connection with any aspect of parental responsibility for a child.
